Kushmanda festival, the fourth form of Navdurga is being celebrate on September 24 ( Sunday) this year by all devotees across the India. This year, Navdurga festival began on September 21 which will be end on 30 September 2017.
Today is the fourth day of Navratri/Navdurga festival. There are nine form of
Mata Durga which names have been given below:
1. Shailputri
2. Brahmacharini
3. Chandraghanta
4. Kushmanda
5. Skandamata
6. Kalaratri
7. Katyayani
8. Mahagauri
9. Siddhidatri
On the occasion of this festival, devotees take fast one time and they eat only fruits after ending the worship while many of devotees take fast both times but they only use fruits as diet till nine days. They will worship Devi Kushmanda today to demanding bless for their family person as healthy, prosperity along with happily life.
Each form of Mata Durga’s worship has been scheduled for a day till nine days. The Durga festival comes once in every year which devotee of Goddess Durga celebrates it with a huge courage and curiosity. Mata Durga is also known as
Aadi Shakti .
Goddess Kushmanda rides on lioness and has eight arms – her right hands carry a kamandalu, Dhanush, Bada and Kamal while her left hands hold Amrit Kalash, rudraksh mala, Gada and Chakra.
Mata Kushmanda ' s name known as her importance where Ku stands for ' a little ' , Ushma means ' energy ' and Anda stands for ' cosmic egg ' .
When the universe was non-existent and darkness prevailed everywhere, Maa Kushmanda produced the Cosmic egg with her smile, bringing light to the universe.
Devi Kushmanda is believed to have the power to live in the core of the son. She not just give directions to Suryadev but is because of her luminosity that Sun gets its brightness.
