Mahakaushal Express derailment: Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Express derails in UP’s Mahoba, 37 injured

NEW DELHI:The Jabalpur-Nizamuddin
Mahakaushal Express derailed with eight bogies on Thursday in
Mahoba of Uttar Pradesh state, in which more than 35 passengers were injured while 10 people were serious. Injured passengers were sent to private hospital for treatment in Mahoba.
The incident occurred between Mahoba and Kulpahad railway stations near Supa village when the last eight bogies derailed, SP of Mahoba, Gaurav Singh said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed state Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh to visit the accident spot.
The health minister said he was personally handling the rescue and relief efforts. Thirty doctors with 21 ambulances have been sent to the accident site, the minister said.
The SP said relief and rescue operations are on in full swing and two helpline numbers have been issued in the view of passenger’s assistance and their family members.

The bogies which derailed comprised three AC and three general.
Earlier, the Chief Public Relations Officer(CPRO) of North Central Railway had asserted that around eight coaches from the rear side of the train has derailed.
