India, Sri Lanka will sign on nuclear agreement

New Delhi: India and sri Lanka will sign on nuclear agreement on February 16 with meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan Persident Maithripala Sirisena who has chosen India for his maiden visit abroad as president. It has decided that to go ahead with civil nuclear cooperation with Sri Lanka following its own "breakthrough understanding" as an US President Barack Obama ' s recent visit. With Rajapaksa gone, both India and the US are sharp to wean away Sri Lanka from the influence of China.
