India and Russia agreed to resolve Syrian issue

Foreign secretary S Jaishankar said, with expansive terms, India and Russia have reached on a similar way to the situation in Syria and New Delhi has no reason to doubt that Moscow’s air strikes are not actually targeting Islamic State in that country as some critics have pointed out.
On the evening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Russia, Jaishankar said both countries, India and Russia have taken decision on resolving the Syrian issue “through political and diplomatic means and through intra-Syrian dialogue”. Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the country’s government fighting a number of opposition factions and radical Islamist groups, including Islamic State and al-Nusra Front.
