India & Japan deals: PM Modi, Abe sign MoU on civil nuclear energy, bullet train

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi  signed a Memorandum of understanding with Japan on civil nuclear energy and he announced that the deal was not only for  commerce and clean energy but also a sign of mutual confidence and partnership for a secure world.
Prime Minister Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe signed on MoU today. ‘’We have made a massive progress in economic cooperation as also in our regional partnership and security cooperation,” said Modi. Stating that there was deep value for the diplomatic partnership between Japan and India, Modi said.” The both  countries also signed two deals on security operations to deepen defence relations and other for defence manufacturing. Abe said: “We have made a new level relationship with India.” “Japan has signed a deal to build India’s first bullet train,” Modi said. “This enterprise will launch a revolution in Indian railways and speed up India’s journey into the future. It will become an engine of economic transformation in India,” Modi said. "This enterprise will launch a revolution in Indian railways and speed up India ' s journey into the future," Modi said of plans for a Japanese-made bullet train to link the cities of Mumbai and Ahmedabad. PM Modi and Shinzo Abe on Saturday released a joint statement on cooperation in security, infrastructure, technology, education and economy in New Delhi.
