Patna: Patna high court directed to Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi not to take any decision with financial and stick to routine work on grounds on 16 February,2015.
Justice Iqbal Ahmad Ansari and Justice Samrendra Pratap Singh said he must not take any policy decision until he has passed the floor test.
The court ' s instruction comes days before the Manjhi government is scheduled to search a faith vote in the assembly on February 20. The court was reacting to public interest litigation by Janta Dal (U) representative Niraj Kumar, and next date fixed for hearing on 16 February in high Court .
Besides Manjhi, there are three members selected for responsible: the chief secretary, principal secretary to the governor, and the principal secretary to the Chief Minister.
The public interest litigation acknowledged a similar situation in UP when Jagdambika Pal was CM for two days in 1998 and that time the Supreme Court had instructed him to not take any decision as a caretaker.
He had resigned office after Kalyan Singh was reinstated as UP Chief Minister. It is also presented that if Manjhi failed to win the trust vote, it would adversely affect the interests of the state and leave a huge problem for the successor government.
