Hanuman Jayanti with a huge curiosity on Tuesday, April 11 on the occasion of Lord Hanuman birthday.
Every year Hanuman Jayanti comes in the month of Chaitra Purnima. Lord Hanuman was born this day. It is also known as several names like Bajrangbali, Mahavir, Sankat mochan, Kesarinandan, Pawanputra etc.
Lord Hanuman is a symbol of strength that solves the all crises. This is why, Lord Hanuman is known as the name of Sankat Mochan. It is believed to be an ardent devotee of Lord Ram.
According to Hindu mythology, it was predicted that Lord Hanuman will be a devotee of Shri Ram that too even before the birth of Lord hanuman. Hanuman is believed to have magical powers with which he conquers evil spirits.
Hanuman Jayanthi is celebrated for 41 days it begins on Chaitra Purnima and ends on the tenth day of Krishna Paksha in Vaishakha month.
On the occasion of this Jayanti, devotees go to Hanuman Mandir/ temple with flowers, garlands, joss and dainty to dedicate Lord Hanuman’s idol.
After then, the devotees read Hanuman Chalisa and shlokas related to Lord Hanuman. Lamp (Diya) of ghee and mustard oil is lit on the idol of Lord Hanuman.
