Fire in Aurangabad firecracker market , 200 shops with 40 vehicles gutted


AURANGABAD: According to police report, on Saturday, a fire breaks out in a firecrackers market in Zilla Parishad Gound of Aurangabad, Maharashtra at 11.45 am in which approx 200 shops including 40 vehicles were gutted, but no casualty was reported.

Cause of the fire was not immediately known. At least half a dozen fire engines with water tankers were sent to the spot and the flames were controlled in over an hour, the officials said.
Smokes-laden with harmful chemicals billowed from the market and enveloped the area. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and other senior officers visited the spot and took stock of the situation
