Derails Chennai-Mangalore Express in Tamil Nadu

Around more than 45 people were wounded  in case of derailing  of six coaches the Chennai-Mangalore Express in Tamil Nadu  on Friday . this  accident that occurred near Virudhachalam, about 230km south of Chennai. The wounded persons were sent to  Virudhachalam government hospital for treatment . Special buses were organized for passengers travelling to Trichy and Salem. The train later began its onward journey after the derailed bogies were detached. These are third in just about a month; once again put the spotlight on railway safety. in August 4, around more  than 40 people died and 23 were wounded while  two trains derailed within a  minutes of each other while crossing a small bridge in Madhya Pradesh. On August 24, five people besides a Karnataka legislator were died while  a granite-laden truck crashed  into an express train at a level crossing in Andhra Pradesh ' s of  Anantapur. According to the National Crime Records Bureau , 25,006 people died and 3,882 were wounded  in railway accidents across the country in 2014. Again  according to government report in 2012, at least 15,000 people were killed every year on the railways, describing the deaths as an annual "massacre" due mainly to poor safety standards.
