Delhi Govt. to Reintroduce Reformed BRT Corridors in Future

NEW DELHI: Delhi government these days proclaimed that it ' ll introduce the Bus public transit (BRT) model in an improved type in the national capital. "Delhi government is totally in favour of BRT as an idea. It’s vital construct and vital answer that has been enforced in an exceedingly nice manner in several elements of the world and our country. "We feel that in Old Delhi, it (BRT) was an honest construct however it had been enforced badly here," Mr. Kejriwal  said whereas inaugurating a one-day ' Delhi Transport Vision Conference ' in the national capital. Earlier this month, facing criticism, the Aam Aadmi Party government determined to scrap the moot passageway between Moolchand and Ambedkar Hagar in South  Delhi engineered by the sooner Sheila Dikshit dispensation at around Rs. 150 crore to encourage public transport. "We are attending to scrap BRT passageway (from Moolchand to Ambedkar Nagar), however we are going to introduce new BRT corridors in south Delhi with improved type in future," Kejriwal said. Recalling his experiences of travel in crowded buses as a nightmare, the Chief Minister concerned a much better transport system which will be utilized by each section of the society. "I have traveled in buses many times. I do know that travel in an exceedingly bus filled with passengers is nightmare. We’ve got to form the transport system higher in next 5 years.
