Chhath Pooja festival 2015 begins today till three days

Chhath Pooja is the biggest festival of Hindus which is celebrated by people every year in the Hindi month of Kartik . They celebrate it with very happy and excitement. Particularly, women worshiped it. But nowadays, it has been seen that men also worship the Chhath festival. This festival is celebrated in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh especially. Devotees of ‘Chhath Maiya’ worship it till three days This is very antique festival of the Hindu religion dedicated to the God of energy, also known as Dala Chhath or Surya Shashti. People celebrate this festival to offer thanks to the Lord Surya for blessing the life on the earth as ever. People worship the God Sun very enthusiastically and pray for the well-being, success and progress of their family members, friends, and elders. Women worship it to demanding son, wealth, progressing of family members and disease less body of family members. At first day, devotees first of all take bath after then eat without onion and garlic. Another day, devotees take bath in evening and use brush due to cleaning mouth. After then they worship to Goddess Chhath with flowers along with Prasad as Khir. They eat it as Prasad and distribute it among their family members. On third day, they worship before sun set in evening and on fourth days worship after sun rise in the morning. Devotees go to bank  of  river or pond both time to take basket on head with full of fruits and other Prasads for worship the God Sun and Goddess Chhath Maiya. Devotees will worship today on November 17  before sun set on the bank of river or pond. People who lives in other places , they come their house for the celebrating the Chhath Pooja. It is said that Sun (Surya) is the brother of Chhath Maiya. So, devotees worship both of them. Chhath Pooja will be end on November 18,2015 after sun rise.
