- Turtuk: Turtuk Village in Shyok Valley is one of the most offbeat places near Leh. Turtuk Village is situated about 160 km from Leh, this village was recently thrown open to tourists.
- Stok Kangri: Stok Kangri is the highest mountain peak in the Stok range of the Himalayas. It is situated about 20,500 ft, it is also the highest trekkable summit in India.
- Diskit Monastery: Diskit is the largest and the oldest surviving temple which is established in Nubra Valley. It is perched high up in the Himalayas at an altitude of 10,000+ ft and overlooks the flood plains of Shyok river
- Lamayuru Monastery: Lamayuru, fondly referred to as the Moon Land, is a major stopover on the Leh-Kargil Road. Hidden in the folds of the mountains of this mystical land is the Lamayuru Monastery.
- Nubra Valley: If jaw-dropping scenery is what you wish for in your Ladakh trip, there is no skipping Nubra Valley. A place of scant vegetation, surreal surroundings and folks with the warmest of smiles you would have ever seen.
- Tso Moriri: Another reserved wetland in the Changthang region of Ladakh, Tso Moriri will take your breath away. It’s the lesser-visited lake when compared to Pangong Tso but is perhaps more awe-striking.
- Pangong Tso: While no words can be apt enough to describe Pangong Tso, words like ‘magic’ and ‘surreal’ can be put to good use here. This astonishing, blue-water body at 14,270 ft is guarded by looming mountains.
