Central government employees will get Two years bonus: says Arun Jaitley

NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, Finance minister Arun Jaitley said that centre government has assumed the advisory board recommendations and enhanced the minimum wage at Rs 350/day for non-agricultural workers against the early rate of Rs 246.
Along with the increasing rate of wage, government has also revised that central government employees will get two years bonus which was pending till now, Jaitley said at the press conference.
The trade unions have called a nation-wide strike on Friday, which threatens to disrupt work across all public sector companies and banks.
The unions had put forward a 12-point agenda, including minimum wages of Rs 18,000 a month in line with the seventh pay commission award for central government employees.
The Centre has also decided to write to all the states regarding the compliance of Contract Workers Law.
