Budget 2016: CCPA to meet today, finalize schedule of session

New Delhi :- The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs headed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will meet on Wednesday to discuss the broad schedule of Budget session of Parliament.
According to report, the CCPA meeting will be followed by another meeting conducted by Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Naidu with the opposition leaders to discuss the duration of the session in view of the upcoming assembly elections 2016 in five states. The elections will be held in the states of  West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry. The term of office these assemblies will end in May and June. On this issue, M. Venkaiah Naidu will take view of leaders of parties like BJP, Congress, Trinamool Congress, Left, AGP, AIADMK, DMK, which have stakes in these states. Government is also keen to get passed a number of key reform measures including the contentious GST and Real Estate Bills. The General Budget is expected to be presented in the Lok Sabha on February 29
