Two grenade blast in Guwahati; 2 people injured

Guwahati: Two bomb blast at busy Fancy Bazar area in Guwahati on Saturday in which Two people have been injured in the blasts, according to the report.
About 15 years old boy was seen at the spot near a garbage dump in the Old Jail Road of Fancy Bazar area around at 3:30 pm
Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup M. Angamuthu, who also visited to the spot, also ruled out the possibility of a grenade blast.
Four person, including a six-year-old girl, were injured in the blasts and were sent to the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital for remedy and were out of danger.
BJP’s Guwahati MP Bijoya Chakraborty also visited to the spot and blamed the Congress government for “failing” to ensure safety and security of lives and property to the common people.
“Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi holds the Home portfolio and it is his duty to strengthen the police and security network in the State,” she said.
The security scenario in the State should be reviewed following the recent attack on two businessmen in Kamrup in Upper Assam and today’s explosions in the State’s commercial and business hub, she added.
