BCCI to announce new Indian coach name today

BCCI chief Anurag Thakur on Thursday declared that the board of BCCI will declare the name of the selected Indian coach. The Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar,
Sourav Ganguly including VVS Laxman interviewed as many as seven shortlisted applicants including former Indian skipper Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri, Lalchand Rajput, Praveen Ambre, Tom Moody, Stuart Law and Andy Moles.
While Kumble seems to have the edge over the others, the world will get the information today regarding the new Indian coach.
According to report, BCCI Chief Anurag Thakur said, "We are attempting that the name is announced by the end of India ' s first Annual Cricket Conclave in Dharamsala, which is today. And I hope it is done before the evening".
Recently, BCCI had received 57 applications for the post and short it down to 21 before handing over the list to CAC that interviewed the candidates shortlisted by them.
