Baramulla attack: One BSF soldier martyred, Parrikar presides crucial meet

NEW DELHI: Security forces are on high alert after an Indian Army camp came under attack by fidayeen militants on Sunday night in Baramulla. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Ajit are reviewing the security measures. Terrorists tried to enter the camp but our forces strike back and the terrorists fled According to SSP of Baramulla, Terrorists managed to escape as it was dark and army couldn ' t strike back effectively due to apprehension of civilian casualty. There was fire fight that continue for some time, terrorists were not able to attack in the camp. Our forces are capable of dealing with any situation, Kiren Rijiju said.
According to report, At least two terrorists have been killed in fight while two were escaped away. Although search operation has seized them. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar presides top-level security meet in Baramulla in which Army Chief Dalbir Singh, Air Force Chief Arup Raha and Navy Chief Sunil Lanba were present. According to report, terrorists had attacked in two groups in which about two terrorists and a BSF Jawan killed while a BSF soldier was injured. Army chief is taking information of the situation after 46 Rashtriya Rifles camp was targeted in Baramula. Home Minister Rajnath Singh has regretted to know about the information of Jawans’s injuring.
